Fleet Feet
Fleet Feet is a specialty running retailer that combines footwear and gear with training programs, events, and community-based running experiences. My work with Fleet Feet spans two locations, San Diego and Coeur d’Alene, where I contributed visual design, illustration, and animation across a range of print, digital, and physical applications.

I worked at Fleet Feet San Diego throughout the store’s first year, bringing illustration and animation into a community-focused retail environment. My work ranged from social content and event graphics to print, apparel, and in-store displays, supporting the group runs, training programs, and events that helped the new store connect with its local running community.

The California bear became a recurring character in my Fleet Feet San Diego work, creating a playful connection to the store’s location. For the first Thanksgiving Day event in 2016, I reimagined the bear dressed as a turkey, creating “Bear-key” as a fun, family-friendly character.
Bear-key continued beyond the original event and my time at Fleet Feet, becoming part of the store’s annual Thanksgiving Day 5K for years afterward and appearing across new event graphics and apparel created by later designers.
